THE GOLD MINE
Deep in the inaccessible part of the dunes in Zandvoort is a nearly 200-year-old closed gold mine. After years of procedures, the government has finally managed to get permission to reopen the gold mine. Locals believe there is still a lot of gold in the mine and gold fever in Zandvoort is raging. Do you dare to descend deep into the dilapidated gold mine to find out whether the stories about the undiscovered, hidden riches are actually true?

1. IS IT SCARY?
No. Escape World offers rooms in different themes. None of these rooms are scary, have scare effects or are horror-themed. All rooms are suitable for children; the minimum age is indicated with each room.
2. IS IT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Yes, our escape rooms are also suitable for (older) children. The minimum age is indicated per escape room, with certain escape rooms being more suitable for children. Sometimes a parent may supervise in the room, in which case the minimum age may be lower.
3. HOW LARGE CAN THE TEAMS BE?
An escape room can be played in a team of two to six people (unless otherwise specified). If you are with a larger group, several rooms can be booked at the same time! The maximum group size is deliberately chosen to keep the games fun. If your group consists of more than 16 people, please contact us, so we can agree on a suitable offer or package together.
4. CAN WE GET SOMETHING TO EAT / DRINK HERE?
Unfortunately, we do not offer our own catering services at our Zandvoort location. However, Zandvoort does have more than enough on offer that we are happy to refer you to. See which establishments we work with and where you can get a discount through us..
5. DO YOU ALSO OFFER CORPORATE OR GROUP OUTINGS?
Yes, for groups we can arrange an appointment for an Escape Room outing, or check out our packages to combine your escape room with a fun activity or a drink or some good food in Zandvoort!
Of course, we can arrange a business invoice via e-mail for you.
6. WHAT DOES AN ESCAPE ROOM COST?
You will find all our prices listed on the location page or in the handy online booking module, where you can book an escape room in Zandvoort right away! For all escape rooms, there is a surcharge for each additional person (with a maximum of six people). Please note that our city games, such as our La Casa de Dinero have a different price. You can find this under the City Game Packages.
7. HOW CAN I PAY?
When you book via the website, you can pay directly online. This ensures you get your escape room immediately when you book! You can pay with iDeal, Paypal or Credit Card. For business requests, it is possible to receive an invoice.
8. CAN I CANCEL A BOOKING?
You can cancel free of charge up to one week before your escape room starts. After that, certain rules apply. Please read our booking conditions.
9. WHAT LANGUAGE IS THE GAME IN?
Our escape rooms are trilingual: this means that all texts in the game can be found in both English, German, and Dutch. If the text can only be displayed in one way, it will be in easily understandable English.
So it is also possible to play the escape room with a mixed group of Dutch-speaking, German-speaking and English-speaking people at the same time!
10. WHERE CAN I PARK?
You can park on the boulevard or behind the Escape Room near the station. Zandvoort has paid parking everywhere. We do not know in advance whether there is a place nearby, but experience shows that it is especially busy during very sunny weather, in the holidays or at events such as The Grand Prix. So take this into account!
Zandvoort is also easy to reach by public transport (Zandvoort station is within walking distance).
11. I'VE ALREADY PLAYED ALL THE ESCAPE ROOMS. WHAT NOW?
We renew our escape rooms regularly + you can also choose one of our exciting and challenging City Games! Of course, you can also play escape rooms in Escape World’s other locations in Amsterdam (centre), Hoofddorp / Schiphol and Tilburg!
